A Season of Love and Laughter - A Holiday Spectacular - 2017

On December 15, 2017, New Light Recovery Center hosted a holiday extravaganza for its clients.  Featured at the event was an array of entertainment including inspirational speaches as well as holiday-themed skits and perfomances by our staff and clients of House of Hope and Love.  In the true giving spirit of the holiday season, all clients in attendace received gift bags packed with essential items intended to bring warmth and cheer for the holidays.  It was a magical event to kick off the holiday season.

2017 Women's Conference

New Light Recovery Center hosted its first annual Women's Conference in September 2017.  It was an event to honor and pay special tribute to those individuals who make up the heart and soul of New Light Recovery Center.  The conference was full of thoughtful introspection, inspirational speeches, laughter, entertainment and joy.  In attendance was special guest speaker Dr. Cheryl D. New Light Recovery Center featured on local TV news

In May 2017, the governor of the State of Michigan signed a bill into law authorizing the sale of Narcan kits over the counter. Narcan is an opiate antidote that, when properly administered, can reverse the potentially deadly effects of a heroin overdose. New Light Recovery Center was featured in the video below courtesy of WXYZ channel 7 in Detroit.
